At the moment we are doing a bit of volunteering in a town called Cooroy, which is about 20 minutes from the Noosa Heads area. This entire area boasts some incredible beaches, rivers, lakes and national parks.
Through a volunteer program, we found a family that needed some help maintaining their property. They have horses, chickens, 2 dogs and a nice garden that they needed help with. In exchange for work, they have provided us accommodation and meals. We are staying in our own private cottage and wake up each morning to birds and horses grazing in the distance. Our hosts are originally from Zimbabwe and have been living in Australia for nearly 9 years now. From day one, they have been incredibly hospitable and welcoming. It's been a joy to be here volunteering for them.
Anyhow, we've been here for 7 days and hope to stay a bit longer before heading off for some more travels. We'll be taking our time with a road trip back North to the Mossman area. So ya, that's what we've been up to over the last week.
During that time, we have been able to catch up on some of our blog GoPro projects. It was great fun putting this one together. We really enjoyed looking back at the start of our travels after leaving Adelaide. We had a good time driving that little camper, trying to stay warm through the Flinders Ranges, visiting towns with some real character, and enjoying all the funny stops before arriving in the heart of Australia. Have a look at the GoPro video!
