Anelle and I are nearing the end of our time in Adelaide. It's been an outstanding seven months living here. I'll have a separate post on living in Adelaide and what it has meant to us later. Being as this is the first city and apartment that Anelle and I have ever lived in together, it will always hold a special place in our heart. Our time here has provided us a lifetime of memories that we will carry with us.
Now time for some VISA information to keep you guys up to date with our current situation. Our current VISA (Work/Holiday VISA) only allows us to stay in Australia for one year (19.10.2015). During that time, we can only work for a maximum of six months with one company. We are able to switch over to a Tourist VISA when our current VISA ends, which would allow us to stay an extra three months. Another option and our ultimate goal is a VISA through sponsorship. This VISA would give us the opportunity to stay anywhere from a year to a maximum of four years in Australia.

For the past six months Anelle has been working with an insurance company located just outside of South Terrace. She has really enjoyed the people she has worked with and will be getting ready to say goodbye when her contract ends at the beginning of June. Fittingly, they want to throw her a Mexican party and grab dinner and drinks after work at a Mexican restaurant. Being Mexican is pretty cool out here. My job history has been a little more sporadic. For six months I was doing my Al Bundy thing and worked as a casual employee with Hype slanging Nike, New Balance and Adidas shoes. During that time, I was submitting application after application with various Universities in Adelaide. I was fortunate enough to land three interviews with the University of Adelaide and Flinders University for different roles. I wasn't lucky enough to land any of them but I was content that I had a job. My luck continued when I landed a position with Anytime Fitness right after my contract ended with Hype. I've been with the gym for a little over a month. About two weeks ago I was offered a position with the University of Melbourne due to start in August. However, I am waiting to hear back from them in regards to my VISA and an opportunity to be sponsored.
Anyhow, our apartment lease ends at the end of June. While we are excited to move on towards new adventures, we will miss our apartment and its unbeatable view. Just take a look. It never gets old.

We have plan A and plan B depending on what happens with the Uni position in Melbourne. Plan A is simple. If we get positive news from the Uni, Anelle and I will be moving to Melbourne. Plan B is just as exciting but definitely needs more planning. If Melbourne doesn't happen, Anelle and I will ship our luggage home, buy a couple of backpacks and travel through Australia. We would either be coming home in October or in January. The first part of plan B would be a road trip to the heart of Australia; Uluru! So that's that. That is our current situation and we hope to know our next move by the end of this month.
