Hello everyone!! We have been on the road and unable to get reliable internet for the last two weeks. We just got to Alice Springs today where we do not have anything planned but rest and laundry before catching a plane to Cairns tomorrow arvo. Here's how we spent the first five days in the Flinders Ranges camping. We camped at the Wilpena Pound Resort for three nights and then one night at the Aroona campground. All of our days were filled with exploring the beautiful ranges. I have to say the first night in our mini camper was not so fun because I set up the sleeping bags in the worst way. As a result Anelle, my sister Kayla and I were pretty cramped. I'll just say that we slept in a way where none of us could stretch our legs out...it was stupid. Other than that, I think we did pretty well for traveling camping newbs. Avoided hitting a family of roos on the road, saw some incredible landscapes and some other animals; a huge eagle feasting on a rabbit for one! Not to mention the family of roos that hung out in our campground. Anyhow, take a look! After the three nights a the Wilpena Pound Resort, we made our way to the Aroona Valley. We made some stops along the way and had breakfast with a view for my b-day. Thank you Flinders Ranges! We loved your scenary and your abundant wildlife. On the fifth day, we packed the car and prepared for phase two of our road trip. 162 km towards Port Augusta for one night, 540 km to Coober Pedy for a night, 488 km towards Erldunda for a night. The day after that we made our destination of Uluru; only another 263 km from Erldunda. By the end of that, I think we became packing and camping pros.
