If you haven't had it before, get on it!! I don't know where you would get it in CA but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find. Russell took the lead in organizing a place, day and time. He picked T Chow in China Town, which was about a fifteen minute walk from our apartment. Anelle has been wanting to try Yum Cha since we arrived in Adelaide and after six months of living here, we finally had chop sticks in hand ready to eat. Five us arrived in front of T Chow a bit before everyone else and got seated right away. We sat at a large round table for the 10 of us. In the middle of the table sat a Lazy Susan; perfect for any food sharing experience. As soon as we sat down, waiters began to approach our table with a variety of dishes that you can either accept or pass on. Anelle and I did not have breakfast resulting in us arriving with a huge appetite. We accepted a few dishes to get started while we waited on the others to arrive. Some waiters brought dishes in wooden cases that they held and others pushed a cart filled with a variety of dishes. As soon as Russ arrived he stepped in and started ordering which was perfect. We didn't have to waste energy asking what everything was. We simply tried everything that was set on our table. Russ played the role of our guide to perfection. Two orders of prawn and pork shiu mai, one order of crispy BBQ pork puff, an order of spicy and crispy squid tentacles, two orders of Cantonese BBQ pork bun, a few orders of traditional pan fried dumplings, some taro puff and orders of sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf (my personal favorite). All of it was great and I could go for some more riiiiiiiiight about NOW!
