Prior to leaving Mossman, Anelle and I booked a hotel room in Perth using reward points. It wasn't until we arrived at the hotel front desk that we realized we had made the booking for November and NOT October when we arrived. They wouldn't refund us or switch the dates. It was one of those moments during travel that really tests your calmness.
After a little over a week in the bush, we were looking forward to being back in civilization and in a comfy room with a big bed! No mosquitoes and no flies means no worries.

Hi everyone! This last month has been one of the best without a doubt. Just a heads up...this post has a lot of content and still doesn't tell the whole story. It's a sample of why the Top End is my favorite part of Australia. GoPro video is being worked on and I'll post that ASAP. For now, enjoy!
I will forever equate the top end of Australia with the massive crocs that inhabit the area. "For every one that you see, there are about 4 to 5 that you don't. Don't get in the water if it's not safe." Our entire time in the top end had a theme of either Salties or Freshies throughout and where you could and couldn't swim. A scuba introduction course in the ocean is pretty full on. It's one thing to be in a classroom and then hit the pool. It's entirely another to get some information on the way to the dive sight and then jump into the deep blue. Ya, I freaked out and almost panicked. Ok, OK! I panicked! But only a little on the first dive. Anyhow, I wasn't going to skip out on completing a bucket list item and diving in The Great Barrier Reef!
